Domaine Bois de Boursan, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, 2017.

Domaine Bois de Boursan Chateauneuf-du-Pape, 2017.It was a nice evening with tasting wines with friends from Exotic Wine Travel, with few wines from infamous Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellation in France. This region is proud about blending grapes with mostly used Grenache grape, and in this case with added Syrah and Mourvèdre.
What stood out in this wine is tradition of the winemaking in this region. From the first sip you can see that this is not industrial, overoaked, overthinked, filtered pr made-to-be-big wine. This wine in done as a tradition and this is where it shines the most. It will telly you a story of a region and its winemaking. Wine is deep in colour, very well rounded and rustic in flavour –  rustic in a good way – immediately transporting you to the small hill, vineyard and cellar of its owners Domaine Bois de Boursan
